In the Prep School, learning support is part of everyday classroom life. Our inclusive model allows students to learn alongside their peers while teachers adapt lessons through small-group activities and one-on-one instruction. With small class sizes, we can give every child the attention they need while fostering strong connections within and across grade levels. This approach ensures each learner is encouraged to grow in knowledge, skills, and confidence.
Our highest priority is literacy development across all subjects. We use evidence-based strategies from the Science of Reading and Writing to help students build a strong foundation in phonics (letters and sounds), vocabulary, reading comprehension, and a variety of writing styles. By developing these skills, students gain both independence and a genuine enjoyment of learning.
We also offer targeted support in mathematics, using small groups and individual sessions to strengthen number sense, problem-solving, and the mathematical vocabulary needed for success.
Equally important is social-emotional well-being. Through differentiated instruction, programs such as Zones of Regulation, and our tiered system of support, we help students develop self-awareness, resilience, and strategies for managing challenges. Support is flexible and responsive — provided for as long as it’s needed — so every child can feel capable, connected, and ready to take on new challenges.
