You are invited to attend our Senior School Parent Information Session on Thursday, September 18 at Halifax Grammar School.
From 5:00–6:00 p.m. in the MPR, this year’s session begins with a Navigating University Research, Planning, and Scholarships presentation by Ms. Laura Brock, Director of University Counseling,
From 6:00–7:00 p.m, grade-specific sessions will run.
The Senior School’s Information Session is different from the Prep and Middle Schools’—it is not a traditional “meet the teacher” evening. Instead, our focus is on reinforcing expectations and providing parents with a detailed overview of the academic and co-curricular programs that define the Senior School experience.
Evening Schedule
5:00–6:00 p.m. – Open University Session (MPR) for all parents.
6:00–7:00 p.m. – Grade-Level Sessions:
- Grade 10 Parents – Matthew Moffatt, Head of Senior School, on navigating Senior School life.
- Grade 11 Parents – Gayle Baillie, CAS Coordinator, and Hilary St. Pierre, Extended Essay Coordinator, on the CAS Program and Extended Essay.
- Grade 12 Parents – Laura Brock, Director of Academics & University Counselling, breakout session for questions on university applications and scholarships.
